Idea for infographic

For my infographic, I am going to plot out the amount of time I spend in the art building and compare it to how often I am at other places including my apartment, my girlfriends apartment, and the dining hall eating. I am in the art building a lot because all five of my classes in it. I also work in the art building and spend many hours a week doing homework in the lab. I want to make an animation infographic using after effects to show this information. I plan to use a series of bar graphs and an animation that shows my walking patterns throughout the week. (similar to the Netherlands daily life patterns video)

I really liked this Netherlands daily life patterns video. I'm thinking that I may do a very similar animation in order show my walking patterns around the art building.

I thought that this site had some interesting animations that would be able to help me come up with some ideas for my infographic

This site has many great color palettes that I can choose from to use in my infographic

I thought that the infographics on this site would help me come up with different ways to plot out my time in the art lab.

I thought this would be a great site to refer to as I am mapping out my infographic because it has different examples of ways that you can do it.

  1. Good idea, similar to a lot of others so make sure you have yours stick out somehow! Be careful with making it an animation. It'd be really cool if you could do it, but don't underestimate the time it's going to take. You could easily make something just as exciting that's 2D.

  2. It's a good idea and I think will be really cool to see it in an animation because it will make yours stand out from the others that are similar to your idea.

  3. I agree with Felicia in that animation would make your project stand out from other similar projects. It may be time consuming, but I think the end result would be really interesting and fun to watch.

  4. I think you should move towards the first influence and consider using animation. I feel as though that would represent your data well.

  5. I like your idea and I think you should focus on a design like the fourth map design. This is because you are comparing your time in the art building to other places. Find some good maps of Millersville University campus.

  6. I feel like the fourth might be the best for your topic idea. I feel like there are a number of other examples you could have used for your information that will be much more successful. I think Heather brings up a really good point.

  7. The second image really stood out to me when I read your topic. It can be like a 3d bar graph and a map at the same time. I really think that would be cool.
